RJ: John, I always wondered what kind of a lady I would like to spend the rest of my life with. And know what? The answer unfolded itself to me during one of my meditation sessions (read: helplessly inebriated Friday evenings).

John Doe: You thinking about marriage?? LMAO… This is gonna be fun… [He pops open another Carlsberg]

RJ: I would like to marry a woman with CEO-like qualities. While I sit around the house practicing the fine art of ‘Lazy-boy’ing, she can make her way up the corporate ladder. I will let her employ a maid to keep the house in order. All I would ask of her is a daily allowance of 100 Indian rupees (USD 2.5) for my daily beers.

John Doe: What does she get in return then?

RJ: What does she get in return you ask, my young Padawan? I will read up jokes from the Internet the whole day. I will crack them once she comes back to ease her stress. An occasional massage and the duties of a ‘decent, but lazy’ husband will be on the menu too.

John Doe: But then, why do your MBA, Jedi Idiot? [striving to maintain a straight face...]

RJ: It’s about not having an ego, with her being a CEO and all

This is a forward I received from a dear friend of mine. She felt this mail strongly represented truth.

Men Are Just Happier People– What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.
One wallet and one pair of shoes — one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can ‘do’ your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier.

Now the Golden question? Are Men really the happier lot? Lets dissect the mail and award points to the miserable/affected party in each area.

Alright,Alright!!! I give up…

Since women seems to racking up points already and I do not think (or want) to win this argument, I will agree that Men do seem to be the happier lot. My arguments just would not change anything.

One of my dear friends pointed out something he observed… It has to do with Moms… Just before feeding something to their children, they instinctively taste it themselves…

I can think of quite a few reasons why they ‘should’ be doing this, the top ones being whether the food item is edible and whether it is at the right temperature…
